Suffolk Seed Laboratory provides a comprehensive certification and analysis service for seed merchants, buying groups/co-operatives and independent farmers and growers.
A broad-spectrum of official and unofficial seed tests are available including:
- EEC & HVS tests
- Germination
- Purity
- Moisture
- Vigour
- TGW Thousand Grain Weight
- Quality measurements e.g. Specific weight, Haberg and protein, oil
Prime packages and a specialist service
Suffolk Seed Laboratory offers a selection of bespoke growers’ packages, tailored to meet individual breeder and grower requirements. A standard Farm Saved Seed (FSS) package, which includes moisture, TGW and germination tests, and moisture meter calibration is also available.
Prices for seeds tests and associated services are competitive and reviewed annually in line with NIAB recommendations.
Samples can be submitted in person, by Royal Mail/courier or via a collection service which is available on request.
